#Recap & #Reflect Before You Respond

"It's not what you say, it's how it's recieved."

How another person receive what is said has a huge impact on their response, especially if that person is not a welcoming one of what is being said . That is why it has always been encouraged to take a few minutes to process and #recap what we hear while conversing with others

"Take a moment to #reflect."

Once you have taken that movement to #reflect you may then realize the words which has been spoken were not as bad as you first assumed.

Many times without being conscious other factors can influence our initial response; the mood we are in that moment, the feelings we have towards the person or situation that is being spoken of.

I recently had such a situation that in which if I had given my opinion or spoken right away without taking the time to reflect on what was being said, I would of responded angrily changing my mood and energy for the rest of the day.

After #reflecting and #recapping, I realized that it was not as bad as I first presumed it to be....

What do you do when what is said is not pleasing to you?

Be u, Be different...
